Fiber Optic Cabling

Single mode fiber allows large amounts of data ( bandwidth ) to transmit over long distances. We recommend installing single mode fiber from your providers feed into the building ( DMARC ), to your Main Distribution Frame ( MDF ). The MDF is where your company network router, switches and other communications equipment are installed. Depending on your bandwidth and distance requirements, single mode fiber may need to be installed throughout the entire facility.
Single Mode Fiber - OS1, OS2

MultiMode Fiber - OM3, OM4, OM5
Multimode fiber allows large amounts of data at shorter distances than single mode. Equipment for multimode fiber is less expensive than single mode. This is a cost effective way to uplink multiple Intermediate Distribution Frames ( IDF's ). Companies are replacing outdated OM1 / OM2 fiber optic infrastructure with OM3, OM4, and OM5 fiber. These newer types of fiber optic cabling providing greater bandwidth at further distances.

We have tested and terminated a variety of fiber connectors over the years. LC fiber connectors have been the most commonly installed. All of our fiber connectors are terminated by our staff using corning equipment, and certified through a Fluke networks certification test. This guarantees 100% functionality on your network without question.
